Practical information


Parking facilities are located in front of National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet:

Take your parking ticket from the barrier system at the entrance. After your visit, pay your ticket at one of the automated payment machines. First scan your parking ticket. Then pay the amount with your debit card. Scan your parking ticket once more as you exit.

Parking costs DKK 12 per hour for the first 4 hours. Each additional hour costs DKK 15 per hour.

Please note: Parking facilities with no barrier are not affiliated with National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet but are available for use by our visitors. Parking costs DKK 12 per hour. Pre-pay for your parking at the automated machines and display your ticket on the dashboard of your vehicle. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the parking regulations before choosing to park here.

The parking facility is monitored by Europark A/S.

Tour buses

Tour buses are required to park on Amager Strandvej. There are no dedicated bus parking spaces in immediate proximity of National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet. Other regulations apply for buses with disabled signs.

Photography is permitted for private, non-commercial use only. Photography or video for commercial use are permitted only upon prior agreement with National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet.


Free wireless internet is available throughout the aquarium.


Smoking is not permitted in the aquariums’s indoor and outdoor areas. However, if you want to smoke you can get a stamp at the ticket service and smoking outside the aquariums’ area, for example by globe near the stairs where there is an ashtray.


For the safety of the aquariums’s animals, it is not permitted to bring pets or guide dogs inside the aquarium.


A free cloakroom is located inside National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet close to the entrance.


Inside the cloakroom of the National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet we do have lockers for your luggage in all sizes, even big ones for suitcases. The price is DKK 10,00. We are not able to guarantee free boxes, if we have many visitors.


There are two defibrillators at National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet.

Aquariums and animals

We ask that all of our visitors refrain from knocking on the aquarium glass and not to feed, touch, or disturb the animals in any way.

Lost property

We submit all lost property to the Lost Property Office every 14 days.
